About Death & Co + Dave Kaplan

Opened in the summer of 2006, Death & Co was envisioned as a nightlife establishment that emphasized a return to service, craft and authenticity. The original NYC location quickly gained both critical and customer acclaim—including the award for “America’s Best Cocktail Bar” at the 2010 Tales of the Cocktail—and eventually expanded to Denver and Los Angeles. As the visionary behind this bar-setting cocktail destination and the co-founder of Proprietors LLC,   Kaplan has become one of the most influential voices in the industry.
