David’s Dance is a dance party rooted in the childhood travels of its creator, ANTWIGADEE!, across Caribbean islands and the discovery that New Orleans is widely regarded as the northernmost Caribbean city. The event is designed to lift the weight that New Orleanians so often carry, replacing it with the lightness of its Caribbean cousins.

The name draws from the biblical story of King David, who danced among his people in praise, a moment where royalty and the common person moved as one, equal under God. David’s Dance carries that same spirit. People of all walks of life are invited to come together, dance under the open sky, and collectively feel that weight rise off their shoulders.
